Year six camp to Borland Lodge

On Monday the 21 of November all of the year six kids went up to Borland Lodge in mini vans in our groups it took about a hour and a half to get their.
We arrived up in Boland Lodge 11 o'clock and went into our cabins.
On the first day my group went rafting then to the tyrolean traverse and then back to camp and did outdoor cooking over the fire next we went to the hoizontal bungee and archery it was cool because we had a packet of flakes to aim for and if we hit it we got to share the packet with the group(yummy).
On the next day we went Abseiling down 15 meaters then rock climbing, low ropes course and air rifles and bivvy building Sean and I made a bivvy under a trees root that has fell over it was awesome.

Inquiry 2011

For inquiry with Mrs Kahukura we are designing an outfit in groups and making them out of recyclable materiel.
First we had to design a dress and figure out  what it would be made out of.
Next we will start to make our dress out of recyclable material that we will bring along.

Class pet

pastedGraphic.pdfClass pet

Dear Mr. Lovelock and Miss Stewart,pastedGraphic_1.pdf
Hannah and Devon strongly believe that Room 7 should have a class pet Guinea pig called Billbo.
In our opinion it would be a great opportunity to take responsibility and use our values towards the pet and learn how to look after pets for our ones at home.
Secondly we could fundraise for a class pet, it’s food and a fancy cage for it to live in we can get enough money for it all by fundraising.
We feel that Room 7 deserves a pet Guinea pig for a class pet because Room 7 has been working hard all year and everybody in Room 7 will be happy with the new class pet because we went and asked everybody for their opinion about a class pet and they all would love one including Miss Stewart.
Fourthly a class pet will give the kids in Room 7 something to look forward to when they come to school in the mornings and it would be a treat to get to take it out of the cage when you have done your work.
We believe there are bads in every good though having a class pet may be distracting for some people and the guinea pig may get out of it’s cage sometimes and may get stood on but we can set some rules to prevent that from happening.
Finally you are probably thinking who would look after Billbo in the holidays well we have that sorted of course give it up for Hannah and Devon we will look after it all Christmas long since we love Hamsters, we love Guinea pigs and it would be great practice for the guinea pig we are begging our mums for.
So therefore we strongly think a class pet would be a great oppuinty!
Thank you for listening and we hope we change your thinking of not getting a class pet!

Young Leaders Dunedin

Hi I'm Devon and I want to tell you about Young Leaders Dunedin.
In Dunedin we went to the Art Gallery and did some Art with indian ink.
I draw some symbols to tell you about me.
I did a fish because I have a pet fish.
The hearts represent each member of my family.
